Analysis Of All Quarter Finals Teams In UCL

Today we enter the round of 8 also quarterfinal in the champions league. There are now the world best 8 teams to compete against each other. Let me introduce you to the champions league, it is a football league in which top 4 teams of all leagues of Europe is to qualify. There is a group stage round which happens first, from that only top 2 teams are to qualify for the knockout stage. Further rounds come and teams are to play in order to win and qualify further. After group stages, we have round of 16, quarter finals, semi finals and the finals. The winner of this league is also known as the best team in Europe. 

As we move further we will discuss about the 8 teams playing in the quarterfinals this year. First i will make a list of it:

These are the teams that have qualified for the quarterfinals of champions league this year. Now we will make an analysis of every team and may predict the winners:-

Arsenal FC- An English football club based in Hollway. They are ranked in the top flight of English football. Their home stadium lies in London known as Emirates. Emirates is the biggest sponsor of the club. They have 13 league titles, 14 FA cup titles, 2 league cups. After all these achievements, the problem lies in their playing squad now. They had legends like Thierry Henry, Patrick Viera, Robin Van Persie, Alexis Sanchez and so on. In the recent past few years, they did not have any big players and almost all good players left the club and they were without a good manager. But in the last year by recruiting their academy players and signing some from outside they have a good bunch of youngsters like Saka, Martinelli, and others. They also have an experienced management that help the club to come at this level. This is after a lot of years they came at this stage and competing in the competition. They may lack experience in their players but their players are fast and furious to wash out the opponents. They also keep a good chance to qualify for the next round.

 

Atletico Madrid FC- it is a Spanish football team based in Madrid. They play their home at Wanda Metropolitan. In La Liga, Atletico Madrid are the third most successful club. Atletico Madrid have 11 league titles. They are also UCL runners up in 1974, 2014, 2016. They produced legends like Antoine Griezmann, Fernando Torres, Alvaro Morata. In recent past year they have played very well football under Diego Simeone. He is the manager of the club since 2011 and continuing till now. H e has made the best team yet. They are runners up of the UCL twice under his guidance. That team had players like Godin, Griezmann, Koke, and others. If we say about today, they are currently ranked 4th in league. they now have players like R. De Paul, M. Llorente, Azplicueta. They are not the favorites to win their quarter finals fixture They have a lead of 2-1 at their home but going to Dortmund will be tough with a narrow lead.

 

Bayern Munich FC- They are a German club based in Munich, Bavaria. They play their home at Allianz Arena. In the Bundesliga, they are the most successful club with 33 national titles. They have won the treble twice and won the sextuple once in 2020. They have won 6 champions league title. They produced legends like Franz Beckenbauer, Philipp Lahm, Gerd Muller. Their most recent champions league win was 2020. Today if we see, they have players like Harry Kane, Serge Gnabry, Kingsley Coman. Currently, they are placed 2nd in the league. They face Arsenal FC in quarter finals and after first leg they have a score of 2-2. No one is favorite to win the fixture yet. Bayern having the advantage of playing at home.

Borussia Dortmund FC- They are also German based club from Dortmund, north Rhinewestphalia. They play their home at signal Iduna park. The club have won eight league championship, five DFB- POKAL, one UEFA champions league, one Intercontinental cup , and one UEFA cup winners. They have been the 2nd most successful club of Germany. They have legends like Mats Hummels, Marco Reus. Today if we see them, they are currently positioned 5th in their league. They have lost the 1st league of their fixture by 2-1. They play their 2nd leg at home against Atletico Madrid. They were never the favorites to win this fixture but we hope for a comeback.

 

FC Barcelona- They are a Spanish team based from Barcelona. They play their home at camp Nou. They are the most successful club in Spain. Domestically ,they have 77 trophies includes 27 La Liga, 31 Copa Del Rey and more. Their motto is " Mes Que Un Club" means more than a club. They were ranked 1st by International federation of football history & statistics in 1997, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2015. They produced legends like Lionel Messi, Andres Iniesta, Carlos Puyol. Currently they are managed by Xavi also a club legend. Today, they are positioned 2nd in the league. They have the lead in their quarter finals fixture against PSG by 3-2. They reached here for the 1st time since Messi left them. They are favorites to qualify for the semi finals.

 

Manchester city FC- They are an English team based in Manchester. They play home at the Emirates stadium. They produced legends like Javier Macherano, Vincent Kompany. Today, they are 2nd in their league. They are playing under the management of Pep Gaurdiola. They were champions of UCL last year. They have players like Haaland, De Bruyne, etc. They are considered to be one of the most dangerous team in Europe. In the fixture against Real Madrid it ended as 3-3. The 2nd leg is to be played at the home stadium of Manchester city and though they have an advantage.

 

Paris Saint-Germain- They are a club based from Paris. They play home at Parc Des Princes. They buy players and try to be the best. They have no legends. They are the best team in France. Today, they play under management of Luis Enrique. They are leaders in their league. In the quarter finals fixture, they are behind Barcelona 2-3. They have to play the 2nd leg at Camp Nou. They are not the favorites to win.

Real Madrid FC- They are a Spanish club from Madrid. They play home at Santiago Bernabeu. They have legends like Cristiano Ronaldo, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo and others. Currently they are leading in the league. In the quarter finals fixture against Manchester city they are tied 3-3 and they go to Manchester to play their 2nd leg. Due to away fixture they are not favorites.
